The Training Clinic at The Center for Behavioral Medicine is dedicated to fostering the next generation of mental health professionals through a model of evidence-based care and scholarly excellence. Our mission is to provide high-quality, accessible psychological services while maintaining a rigorous academic environment that promotes clinical growth and the integration of behavioral medicine and clinical hypnosis.

Developmental Trainee Levels

Doctoral Externs

Advanced doctoral students gaining specialized experience in behavioral medicine and psychological assessment within a multidisciplinary setting.

Postdoctoral Fellows

Licensed-eligible psychologists refining their expertise in clinical hypnosis and neuropsychology while leading scholarly initiatives.

Masters-Level Interns

Expert Supervision & Didactics

Trainees at the Center operate under the direct guidance of expert, postdoctorally trained licensed psychologists. Our pedagogy emphasizes a reflective and scholarly approach to clinical practice.

Individual Supervision: Weekly one-on-one sessions focused on clinical caseload and professional identity.

Group Supervision: Collaborative case conceptualization and peer consultation.

Didactic Seminars: Regular seminars covering advanced topics in behavioral medicine, ethics, and clinical hypnosis.

Clinical & Specialty Opportunities

Core Clinical Practice

Trainees engage in evidence-based therapy and comprehensive psychological assessments. This core training ensures a robust foundation in diagnosing and treating a wide range of behavioral and mental health concerns under expert oversight.

Advanced Specialty Study

Interested trainees may pursue advanced study in Neuropsychology and Clinical Hypnosis. These opportunities allow for the acquisition of specialized technical skills that bridge cognitive science and clinical intervention.
